Hi my name is Bríd,
On Sunday the 4th of October I ran in the Cook Medical Mini-Marathon at the University of Limerick. I travelled to the marathon on my own and ran 10Kms in aid of Horizons. I finished the marathon in 1 hour and 5minutes.
I am in paid employment at the moment, working in UCC on the Red Framework*. I work in Inclusive Research.
I attend Horizons once a week, I enjoy the clients and talking to them.
I walk alot and run along. I have done the Echo Women’s Mini-Marathon and I have walked from Blarney to Mallow in aid of the Guide dogs.
Running is a way to distract me from my thoughts, when I live on my own.
If I was in charge of the fundraised money I would spend it on more support staff to encourage people into employment, and to be able to meet to support you if you feel isolated at the weekends.
Please support my fundraising page to raise some more money – Fundraising page of Bríd Broderick
Thank you
