Our 30th Annual Golf Classic proved to be a fantastic two day event filled with great golf, great company, and lots of fun at Monkstown Golf Club. The event was a huge success and it wouldn’t have been possible without the incredible support we receive each year.
Teamwork
This year, we were delighted to welcome over 50 teams to the course. The enthusiasm and participation of everyone involved truly highlight the strength of our community and the importance of this annual event.
Congratulations to Our Winners
A big congratulations to our winning team, Terran Electrical, who joined us for the first time this year and took home the Horizons Perpetual Cup. We’re delighted to see new teams getting involved and making their mark!
Thank You to Our Sponsors who played, a vital role in making the day such a memorable one.

Inclusive
Thank you to O’Flynn Exhams and Stuart Musgrave, who kindly sponsored two teams made up of people supported by Horizons to play in the competition. Timmy Sheehan and James Healy attended the Classic and played excellently. Both gents will represent Horizons at the Special Olympics in Dublin.
Festive Flowers and Seeds
A big thank you to the Bonnington Training Centre Horticulture Department who created the beautiful floral arrangements for the event. They were very much admired and popular to take home.
Thank you also for the wonderful collection of gifted seeds. As part of the Green Campus Biodiversity Project the BTC collects seeds to plant and to add to their seed bank. The seeds are swapped and shared within the community to enhance local biodiversity and deepen connections. The BTC received a Green Flag Campus Award last December. Thank you for sharing this with us.
Events like this remind us just how powerful community support can be. From sponsors to players to volunteers, every contribution plays a part in making the Golf Classic such a standout event.
The Golf Classic is the largest fundraiser of the year. Funds raised enable us to provide vital services for the adults and children supported by Horizons here in Cork.
Next year celebrates 70 years of Horizons, and we look forward to seeing you all again in 2027.
Once again, thank you to everyone involved.
