Welcome to Horizons

Our horizons are filled with hope and understanding as we move forward with this positive change.” Noreen O’Driscoll, Member of Horizons Advocacy Council (pictured left).

We are proud and excited to announce that Cope Foundation is now Horizons.

The new brand will help to explain the important journey we are on, as well as the person-centred culture and rights-based approach that guides
our work.

Through engagement with key stakeholders, it became very clear that the word ‘Cope’ does not reflect the ambitions we have for the people we support. The new name encompasses a vision of the type of organisation we aspire to become by looking forward and planning for the future.

Our new branding will help communicate our values in a clearer, more dynamic way.

It’s designed to inspire confidence in our services and attract new supporters, volunteers and advocates. This visibility will support us in reaching more people and making a larger impact.

Marguerite O’Brien, Acting Chief Executive Officer says: “Horizons is aiming to change people’s understanding of intellectual disabilities and ensure that people are valued, equal, and contributing to society with full control over their choices and lives. As an organisation, we are on a journey of transformation and change and I am really excited about our new name Horizons, which, I believe, truly reflects our vision and who we want to be.”

What Stays the Same?

Our Mission: Supporting people with an intellectual disability and/or autism to live a life of their choosing, connected to and participating in their communities.

Our Services: We’ll continue to offer supports and services with the same dedication and build pathways for future generations.

Our Team’s Dedication: This rebrand is our incredible team, just as much as it’s for those we support. Staff are integral to everything we do, and we appreciate and value the passion and commitment you bring every day.

What Will Change?

Our Name: Our new name will convey a message of ambition, strength and possibility.

Our Visual Identity: We’re introducing a fresh logo, colours and style that are bright and welcoming. These changes will be reflected across our website, printed materials, signage and offices.

Our Language: We’re committed to using empowering and accessible language that puts people first.

Together, we’re building a more inclusive future where every individual is valued.

This rebranding is a celebration of everything we will accomplish together in the years ahead.

Thank you for your continued dedication, your compassion and for helping make our organisation a place where people we support are listened to and valued.
