We are delighted to welcome Lorraine Egan as the new Chief Executive Officer of Horizons.
Lorraine brings extensive experience from previous roles held with HIQA, the NCSE and HSE disability services as well as a strong commitment to advancing inclusion and supporting people with disabilities.
Horizons supports 2,800 children and adults with an intellectual disability and /or autism across a growing network of 70+ locations across Cork city and county. As CEO, Lorraine will work alongside staff, the people we support and partners to continue building on Horizons’ mission of supporting people with an intellectual disability and/or autism to live a life of their choosing, connected and participating in their communities.
Speaking on her new start with the organisation, Lorraine says: “It is a privilege to be joining Horizons as Chief Executive Officer. I am excited to be joining an organisation which holds such a special place in people’s lives. What drew me to Horizons is the clarity of its mission and the reputation it has built for delivering meaningful support. I know this is the result of the expertise, commitment and teamwork of staff across all areas of the organisation. I look forward to working with the people we support, staff and families on shaping the future of Horizons and build on its wonderful legacy.”
